Director Gábor Ulrich

Gábor Ulrich was born in 1967. In 1990, he graduated with a degree in visual education, and later studied typography at the Hungarian University of Applied Arts. Since 1992, he has been a freelance graphic designer. From 1994 to 2001, he was a part-time lecturer at a college. In 2007, he also earned a degree in motion picture culture from the Eötvös Loránd University. He is a part-time lecturer at the Media and Motion Picture Arts Institute of the Budapest Metropolitan University. He primarily creates organic-based, experimental works. His auteur films have been selected for the competition programs of film festivals in more than thirty countries. He has received numerous national and international awards. He is a board member of the Animation Section of the Hungarian Association of Film Artists. In 2011, he received the Balázs Béla Award.
