Eva Sajanová (*2002) is a music composer and documentarist from Slovakia. She’s currently finishing her master’s studies in documentary film directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Her bachelor’s film, How to Listen to Fountains, had a world premiere at the Nest section of San Sebastian International Film Festival 2025, where it won the main prize - The Mediapro Studio Award. Currently, she’s developing a sound map of Bratislava’s fountains in collaboration with Bratislava City Gallery and preparing her graduation film, She just walked into the room and she doesn’t know why she did it, in co-production with Ninja Film (SK). Before film, Eva studied composition at the Bratislava Conservatory. She wrote music for the feature-length documentary film Ms. President (dir. Marek Šulík, 2024) and several short films. She played live music for YOLT, a dance performance by Italian choreographer Manuel Ronda, which premiered at the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava (it won the Dosky 2023 award for an extraordinary act in the dance theater). In 2020, she won the 1st prize at the International Composition Competition Artistes en Herbe, and she also received awards at the International Composition Competition Generace and the Slovak Conservatories Competition. At the moment, she’s preparing a composition for EFNI - Ensemble of Futurist Noise Intoners (DE/IT), commissioned by the Next festival in Bratislava.
