Wild Cherry
A young boy, living in rural Greece with his father, has to confront the violent familial tradition on his birthday, the slaughter of a goat. The ritual is unavoidable for the boy in order to become a man, even if his ideals diverge from those of his father’s. Following constant pressure, he runs away and after meeting a mysterious presence he must take a difficult decision.

Panos Ziogas is a young, upcoming, Greek director with an interest in the presence of dark undertones in everyday life. He wishes to meld traditional, folk narratives and classical era dramaturgy with the values of contemporary cinematic form. His directorial debut is the short film «Wild Cherry». He is a graduate in Film Directing at the Public School of Advanced Vocational Training (S.A.E.K.) of Thermi, Thessaloniki, Greece.
