Little Thelma More asks the question: “Who lit the Moon?” In response, her dear grandmother tells a magical tale in which we meet the witch Starla. While she is in a hurry to get home, Starla faces a number of challenges and learns useful things. How many numbers are on the clock? What are the letters of the alphabet? What flies in space? You will find all this in the dizzying adventure, suitable for both young and old! This is the debut animated film by director Maya Bocheva. Maya is a creator of animations and advertising clips, and this film is inspired by her book of the same name, which marks the beginning of a series of fairy tales with games. The book also has a digital version, rich in animation and interactive elements, winner of three international awards. With this film, Maya Bocheva is laying the foundation for future animation projects based on the books in the “This and That” series.

Creative biography On Maya Bocheva-Wiki Known by the creative pseudonym Wiki, Maya has already gained national recognition for illustration, as the winner of the Konstantin Konstantinov Children's Book Award for her author's work "What Time Is It? A Handbook for Time". She has also adapted the book into a digital format, enriched with animations and interactive elements, a project implemented with the support of the National Culture Fund. The digital book won first prize for an interactive project at the 36th edition of the Computer Space 2024 international festival. Maya's first author's digital book, "Who Lit the Moon?", has been honored with three international awards, including the Word Summit Awards, where Maya Bocheva was awarded first prize for Best Digital mContent in the Category Learning & education for the application "Who lit the Moon?"/"Who lit the Moon?" from the series "This-That", which represented Bulgaria and was selected among 178 countries from all over the world. The digital book is the first of its kind in our country and is rich in animation and interaction. Maya is an artist and director of the project. For the short animated film "Who lit the Moon?" Among them are exhibitions inspired by the books "What Time Is It?" and the trilogy "Why Did the Bees Leave?", the latter of which has received numerous awards and nominations, including the Eurocon Award for representing Bulgaria at the international level for the book "How to Bring Back the Bees?". For this book, Maya has a nomination for children's author and illustrator in the prestigious "Konstantin Konstantinov" competition.
