Director Adem Tutić

Adem Tutić was born in 2002 in Novi Pazar, Serbia. He is studying film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He began with the film Epitaph to the Forgotten, which was screened at the Free Zone Festival, DokuFest, and the Ethnographic Film Festival. His first short fiction film Belezi was screened at the Moving Image Festival and the Kameo Festival, while the documentary In My City, According to Islam received a Special Mention at the Bistre Reke Festival. His film Forty was shown at the Herceg Novi Festival, Kameo, Blokadni Fest, and Kustendorf, where it won the Bronze Egg award. His feature-length documentary Tour de Strasbourg follows a 14-day student protest ride against political repression in Serbia. Adem has also contributed to theatre and multimedia projects and served as a jury member at the Bistre Reke Festival and the Paris Author’s Film Festival. His short fiction film Tarik will have its world premiere at the Sarajevo Film Festival. He is currently developing his first feature-length documentary Shahid’s Home, about a Moroccan migrant who shows resilience after surviving brutal violence on the Balkan route.
