Blending raw documentary realism with surreal, stylised dreamscapes, visual activist film MADE IN X follows a young immigrant navigating life on the margins of a society that sees her as a label before a person. From workplace microaggressions to housing discrimination, her daily struggles are interwoven with poetic sequences where traditional garments, textures, and memories become tools of resistance and an escape. As fashion transforms into a language of identity and protest, the film explores how origin defines worth - not only for fashion items, but for people as well.

I’m a London-based fashion filmmaker and visual director with a background in cinematography, editing, and creative direction. Originally from Moscow, Russia, I’ve been working with photography and video since I was 15, developing a multidisciplinary approach that blends strong visual language with critical reflection on identity, transformation, and social perception. My work often uses fashion and abstraction as narrative tools to explore the complexities of personal and collective experience. I hold a BA in Film & Television Production and I am currently completing an MA in Fashion Film and Digital Production at the University of the Arts London (London College of Fashion). I direct, shoot, and edit across film, fashion, and music projects, creating narrative-driven work that combines visual precision with cultural and conceptual depth, aiming to provoke dialogue and shift perspectives.
