Fantoomwijk
Fantoomwijk is an urgent work about the Tweebosbuurt in Rotterdam. The workingclass neighborhood was demolished to make way for luxury housing, forcing residents to leave their homes. Through different visual styles, viewers navigate between opposing perspectives: the system and those affected. The film gives voice to the evicted locals of a neighborhood that was once a vibrant part of the city, illustrating the human cost of urban development and representing the global issue of gentrification.
