After a haunting vision of a distant land, Siljan sets out in search of his origins. A mysterious journey leads him from the quiet parks of the Netherlands to the rugged landscapes of Macedonia, where memories, dreams, and reality begin to blur. Guided by a cryptic Soothsayer, Siljan unravels a truth that reshapes his identity and his place in the world. Meglen Anzik Trpkov (1994) is a Macedonian-Dutch filmmaker. He is currently graduating Audiovisual Media at the School of the Arts Utrecht, majoring in directing and screenwriting. Meglen has been acting from a very young age however, slowly, but surely, he found his passion in telling stories. What characterizes Meglen’s work is that he always takes a personal perspective in his work. He channels his ideas through the prism of his own life experience and afterwards finds a way to connect it to the world. With which he can pull his personal experiences to the human condition. Meglen is fascinated with every kind of storytelling, and is continuously exploring and learning new ways to tell stories. In that sense he is not bound to a specific style. What seems to bind him however is the themes in his work. The passing of time and how we as people deal with it, vulnerability, nostalgia and grief.
