Atharva Raut is a wildlife filmmaker and photographer based in Bristol, UK and Mumbai, India, with a passion for telling wildlife stories that blend art, science, and conservation. With a Master’s in Wildlife Filmmaking from UWE Bristol, UK in partnership with BBC NHU, Atharva is equipped with technical expertise as well as industry-leading work practices. Skilled in long-lens, macro, camera traps, and documentary work, he is a proficient visual storyteller. He has worked across a myriad of habitats in India covering diverse natural history stories. Being a trained naturalist, Atharva can combine documentary skills and a deep understanding of nature in his work. Atharva has also contributed to conservation efforts, working on projects like mitigating human-leopard conflict around Mumbai’s Sanjay Gandhi National Park and contributing to citizen science initiatives. With diverse experience, Atharva brings in varied perspectives in visualising and conceptualising projects. Atharva thrives in collaborative environments, blending creativity with strategic thinking to deliver impactful stories.
