Aphrodite's Island

Η Ρωξάνη Βαρελά είναι 26 χρονών. Έχει σπουδάσει Θεατρικές σπουδές στα ΕΚΠΑ αλλά πάντα είχε μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον για τον κινηματογράφο. Στα 22 της ξεκίνησε να εργάζεται στην τηλεόραση και έπειτα σε ταινίες ξεκινώντας στην ομάδα της κάμερας αλλά κάνοντας στροφή μετέπειτα προς το σκηνογραφικό. Έχει εκτελέσει και άλλα πόστα δημιουργώντας έτσι μια σφαιρική άποψη της δουλειάς που χρειάζεται για να δημιουργηθεί μια ταινία. Το 2023 ολοκλήρωσε το σεμινάριο σκηνοθεσίας του filmschool καθώς και ένα σεμινάριο σεναρίου και ΤΟ ΝΗΣΙ ΤΗΣ ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΗΣ είναι η σπουδαστική εργασία της. Roxani Varela is 26 years old. She studied Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens but has always had a strong interest in cinema. At the age of 22, she began working in television and later moved into film, initially joining the camera department before shifting her focus toward production design. Over time, she has taken on a variety of roles across departments, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the collaborative work required to make a film. In 2023, she completed the directing seminar at FilmSchool, as well as a screenwriting workshop. The Island of Aphrodite is her thesis film.
