Nati Juncal Portas is a producer and co-founder of Cósmica Producións (Galiza, Spain). She has produced titles such as As Neves (Sonia Méndez, 2024), which premiered in the Official Competition of the Málaga Film Festival 2024 and won the Mestre Mateo Award for Best Feature Film, A poeta analfabeta (The iliterate poet, 2020), and the series Antes de perder (Rather than losing, Mestre Mateo Award 2020). She is currently preparing Lucía Estévez’s debut feature As Defensas and finalizing Desgarrada (Torn), by Flávio Ferreira, which she co-produces with Fado Filmes. She is also developing, together with Pedro Neves (Red Desert), the next documentary by Melanie Pereira.
She has previously worked as Line Producer on acclaimed Galician auteur films such as Lúa Vermella (Red Moon Tide) by Lois Patiño, Longa Noite (Endless night) by Eloy Enciso, Matria by Álvaro Gago and Prefiro condenarme by Margarita Ledo.
She is the Galician delegate of CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media) and a member of the Galician Association of Independent Producers (AGAPI). In 2024, she won the Mestre Mateo Award for Best Line Producer and was recognized by Variety as one of the 10 Spanish emerging producers to watch.
