Based on a Sudanese short story by Ahmad Al Malik Tank centres on an inadequate man with a modest life. One day he acquires a tank and things change. His community treat him differently, more deferentially. And so, by increments, the man starts to behave differently too. His entitlement starts to show. As things begin to improve for him he starts to expect more from his life. A dangerous cycle is begun.

Sixteen-year-old Michele works as a “cowboy” on a wild plateau in the Apennines. Together with his colleague, 21-year-old Alexandra, he offers horseback rides across the vast fields to tourists who love riding. But nothing has been the same since the events of last winter.

Sculptor Ratko Vulanović is trying to clear of the trinketry and return to art the power and greatness that he believes it deserves. Then the trinketry strikes back.

It murmurs through the faded wedding photograph, drifts through the scattered notes on the desk, and lingers in the wine glass covered in ash. What endures is fertile ground, breathing new life into the space.
