Film Palace Fest invites you to play the creator of their new poster and TV commercial.

Make an outstanding project and win 500 euro (for poster) or 1500 euro (for TV commercial).

This is a step-by-step guide for all candidates:

1. Read the brief description of festival, target, and communication strategy here.
2. Create the new print or/and TV ad of the festival.
3. Read the official terms and conditions here.
4. Register by submiting your aplication form and uploading your work until March 25, 2010.
5. Wait till April 8, 2010 when we announce you are the winner.

The two contest winners will be chosen by an international jury of advertising and movie experts - official guests of the festival. The selected work will be part of the communication campaign for the Festival. It will be present on wide Bulgarian media and abroad. The length of the videos should be between 30 seconds and 1 minute and will be given the opportunity to be re-shot after the contest with equipment provided by Film Palace Fest.

Technical requirements:

Poster

The poster entries must be preview files, RGB, with height up to 1000 px, 72 dpi. If selected, you will be asked to send the original file PDF with vectored text in CMYK: 480 mm x 680 mm + 3 mm around all sides, not less than 180 dpi.

TV commercial

The video should be HD. (MOV,MPEG2, MP4) Remember! Focus on the idea! Not on the execution! If selected, you will be given the chance to re-shoot your video with a professional team of movie makers and technique, provided by Film Palace Fest. Entrants shall not interpolate or otherwise include any materials owned or controlled by third parties.

  Communication strategy:

Film Palace Fest is the new name of "In the palace International Short Film Festival" in Balchik. It is the Bulgarian most prestigious film forum featuring professional short films, up to 45 min. in lenght, that have not been screened.

During the past years the festival had grown from a students' film forum into a famous international festival where the best professional short films are being screened. It is preferred place for a world premiere of the newest short films from all over the world. The upcoming 8th edition of the festival promise to be even more exciting, because it will widen the range of entertaining opportunities offered. This will be supported by a new corporate identity and media campaign.

For the first time the program will include video installations, workshops by world famous movie makers and music scenes all over Balchik.

The target:

- Core target: festival makers
Young movie creators, entries submitters, friends and supporters of movie makers who want to be part of the movie scene.
The art community members.
They expect inspiration and connections to participate in further local and international projects. You have to surprise those people and impact the festival promise with lots of fun and transparency.
- Secondary target: festival users
Art fans, who want to watch the movies on the screenings, drink beer and meet smart movie makers on the beach. The festival is the perfect destination for a week vacation at the seaside or cultural tourism.

All visuals should be in line with the new corporate identity (logo, colors) and provide the festival information (dates, place etc.)
