Samuel grew up in Switzerland where he was introduced to art by artist Falk Veyran. He studied art in Nimes and the school of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg where he first realized the importance of video in his life and his artistic research. Today he is cutter and filmmaker who shares his life and work between Marseilles, Strasbourg and Germany. At the borders of different styles, his work is inspiredеd by documentary and poetry.
