Synopsis:
A dedication to the extraordinary people of the village of Ribnovo. The story is told through the prism of a rare wedding ritual known as gelina, which nowadays only exists in this part of the Rhodope mountains. The films reflects a different look on life, it strives to tel a modern day fairytale of the eternal love between a man and a woman.
Director: Damyan Petrov
Damyan graduated the department of journalism and mass communication at Sofia university. He works as a news reporter and editor at the Bulgarian National Television. Damyan has written and directed four films, mostly dealing with Bulgarian art and culture. He is currently preparing his doctorate thesis at Sofia university.
