Synopsis:
In a small Turkish village, doomed to be flooded by the construction of a dam, an unemployed widower wants to celebrate the birthday of his child. The same day he learns that the dam will finally be constructed.

Born in 1976. Eileen graduated in literature and history of cinema. For 4 years she worked for a film festival as a press officer, then moved on to be a journalist for a Swiss daily newspaper before becoming the chief editor of a Swiss magazine. She’s now working as a film maker. Roots is her first fiction film.
