Synopsis: A documentary about 12-year-old Stanislav who lives and studies in the town of Pernik, Bulgaria. The film tells about the boy’s daily life, his interests, feelings and dreams. Stanislav loves to go to his village - Meshtitsa, where his grandparents live. Many of his friends live there too. Together they make masks - “lizi” for the festival of “Surva”. Every year Stanislav takes part in a group celebrating this winter festival, when the evil spirits are banished from the houses. An annual international festival of masquerade games is held in Pernnik.

Vanya Ivanova graduates in 1982 from the Pedagogical Institute ‘N. Krupskaya College’, with Major in Pre-school Pedagogy and from Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’ with Major in Pedagogy. In 1991 she graduates from NATFA 'Kr. Sarafov', Major – Directing. Vanya works as a director for the Pazardzhik Puppet Theatre in 1992 and is Theatre Pedagogy professor’s assistant. From 1994 until now she works as a director at the Bulgarian National Television.
