Born in Osaka, Japan. Moved to the U.S. in 1990. Earned B.A. in philosophy and M.F.A. in film/video/animation. His film accolades stretch from Student Academy Award® nomination (1997), Sundance Film Festival (1999), Pusan International Film Festival (2006) to most recently nomination for Golden Cow at GstaadFilm Switzerland (2010).
