Synopsis: Running With Tthe Beast is the title of the new album of the Amsterdam based rock band zZz. Roel Wouters made a music video, the artwork and a series of posters. The project is about two artists who have created the conditions to capture rage in a systematic way. In the video, two coloured cocks print their fight on a sheet of paper.

Roel Wouters (1972) works as graphic designer and film director. He runs his own studio named Xelor since 2002. Studio Xelor works across all media and operates mostly in the cultural field. For the past few years Wouters has been teaching interactive and graphic design courses at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, the Sandberg Institute and at Yale University School of Art. He is also affiliated with the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Together with Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey and Edo Paulus, Wouters has been working on the ‘Conditional Design’ manifesto. A manifesto that promotes the idea of designing conditions rather than end results.
