Synopsis: Haiti … Still Waiting is a documentary which explores how the NGOs spend the donations for Haiti. 35 seconds on 12 January, 2010 turned the country into a geographical concept emptied of contend. The world united in an unprecedented humanitarian mission and more millions flew to Haiti. The aid was supposed to reach and help those in need. The documentary disclose that most of the NGOs which are working in Haiti are spending the donation for themselves – they have good living conditions, they rent the biggest houses and raise the prices. There is no unified control over the money donated for Haiti. There are the United States, there are the EU countries, there are the dozens of organizations, and somewhere in between is the local government. Nobody knows who does what, how and where. Nobody can tell how much money was spent so far. Local people say that the corruption is everywhere. The documentary presents also an interesting point of view about the reason of interest of Haiti – the sweatshops in the ghettos and the extermination of the forests.
