Synopsis:

With the assistance of the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture a Flemish herdsman comes to live in the Balkan mountains with its 240 cows, 18 horses and nine dogs without knowing a word in Bulgarian. Carlos Adriansen (55) is an ancestral "cowboy”, who grew up in the pastures of the Pyrenees on the border between France and Andorra. A new outlook on life slowly and painfully begins its way in the village Leskovets. A clash of cultures, ideas and mentality is arising...

Prof. Mariana Evstatieva - Biolcheva is Bulgarian filmmaker, author of many feature films and documentaries. She is a Professor of Film and Television Arts at New Bulgarian University, Sofia, and Head of the Master's Program in Film and Television at NBU. Winner of many Bulgarian and international awards, among them two Silver Awards at Moscow Film Festival for Moments in a Matchbox (1979), and A Husband for Mom (1985), "Laceno d'oro" from Avelino, Italy, for Devil's Weapon (1980).
