Krzysztof Zanussi (Poland)

Krzysztof Zanussi was born on June 17th, 1939 in Warsaw. Winner of 31 film awards. In 1997, he was selected as a member of Pope’s Academy of Art and Literature in The Vatican. Prof. Krzysztof Zanussi is a member of The European Film Academy, which gives out the annual Felix Award. Professor Krzysztof Zanussi is Doctor Honoris Causa of WGIK Moscow, The National University of Drama and Cinematography I.L. Caragiale (Bucarest), European Humanities University (Minsk), University of Film and Television (Saint Petersburg), Catholic University of Lublin. He became Doctor Honoris Causa of New Bulgarian University in 2002.

Barry Hanson (Great Britain)

Producer Barry Hanson has been at the cutting edge of film and T.V. production in the U.K. for over 30 years. He won the prestigious Prix Italia award for the “Naked Civil Servant” in the late 1970s and his movie “The long Good Friday” made in the early 80’s has been described as the “best British film ever!”. He has been responsible fоr over 100 hours of T.V. Films and serials and 5 Feature Films. He is currently Consultant producer for the Independent Film company, Dan Films. He teaches Film & T.V. Production for London University and has written many papers for academic books and journals, both in the UK and internationally.

Faisal A. Qureshi (Great Britain)

Faisal A. Qureshi is a part-time lecturer and is regular visitor at the Escula Internacional Cine y Tv in Cuba, Salford University and Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. made his first taste of film making at 19 when his treatment was commissioned by Channel 4 and made into a short award winning documentary. He later went to Northern Film School to study editing and sound design whilst also helping on the critically acclaimed 8 hour Stanley Kubrick documentary “Stanley & Us”. Since then Faisal has worked as a writer on various projects with features and TV series in development with broadcasters and production companies. As a director he has directed various short films and is now preparing a feature. He has also worked on the British Council “I, Belong” project in Pakistan and the “Film ON” project in Uzbekistan.

Adela Peeva (Bulgaria)

Adela Peeva is a member of European Film Academy. Contemporary director and producer. The only Bulgarian movies nominated by The European Film Academy for Best Documentary in 2003 and 2007 are her movies “Chia e tazi pesen?” and “Razvod po albanski”. Head of the documentary jury of many festivals, including
XIV Film Festival Sarajevo 2007 and Sofia Film Festival 2009. Adela Peeva is a member of the Ecumenical Jury of the film festivals in Cannes, Berlin and Locarno.

Georgi Nikolov B.C.A.

Georgi Nikolov is one of Bulgaria’s leading filmmakers with over 30 years of professional experience as DOP of feature films and documentaries, and a member of the Bulgarian Cinematographers Association (b.c.a.). From 1979 to 1991 Georgi Nikolov was DOP at Boyana Film Studios. In the following years he worked as freelance DOP and independent producer. His filmography includes 15 feature films and more than 60 documentaries, TV series and over 50 commercials. Among his films are the features Ivan and Alexandra  (selected for the Competition Programme of Berlinale), After the End of the World (winner of the Best Cinematography Awards of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers and of Boyana Film Studios) and the Bulgarian “Oscar” proposal Journey to Jerusalem. Georgi Nikolov also works as an art photographer. His works have won prestigious awards at national and international exhibitions and were included in photographic albums and magazines.
