Synopsis: Drežnica is the place where the snow meets the sea. Days are full of stars, and nights filled with the sun. A short documentary film built with amateur Super 8 footages from the 1970s. A lyric journey through the images and sensations revealed by the memories and dreams of blind people.
Anna Azevedo
Born in Rio de Janeiro. A journalist with graduate studies in Brazilian literature, she has also studied Cinema and Anthropology, Anna attended several workshops with directors such as Iranian Abbas Kiarostami, and studied scriptwriting at Escuela de Cine y TV de San Antonio de Los Baños in Cuba. In 2005 Anna was selected for the 55th Berlinale – Talent Campus. In 2006 she won the Berlin Today Award with the short documentary BerlinBall. Drežnica is her 6th documentary film.
